Our Place Art Organization Incorporated is committed to providing support for parents and siblings


Our Place Art Organization Incorporated offers education and workshops for parents, caregivers and siblings of individuals with Autism and other disabilities. Workshop topics include areas of interest in special education, including information on the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) program, early childhood, the area of transition for students 14-22 (housing, post secondary, employment, and community), assistive technology, sibling support and many more. 

In addition, we offer monthly community events and trainings to raise disability awareness, support groups for parents and siblings of individuals with disabilities, and annual Our Place Art Back to School: Health & Disability Resource Fair.

November Cooking Club at Whole Foods Market

Cooking Date & Location: Saturday, November 17th for youth from 10 am to 12 pm  at Whole Foods Market located at 6730 Papermill Drive Knoxville, TN 37919.

Our Place Art  Organization Inc. inclusive cooking club open to individuals of all abilities. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about nutrition and healthy eating, while making yummy treats!

Holiday Book Fair at Barnes & Noble

Event Date & Location: Saturday, December 15th from 9 am to 10 pm at Barnes & Noble, located at 8029 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37919.

Any in-store purchases (excluding gift cards) and café purchase will benefit our book club and Our Place Art Camp 2019, a summer program for youth and young adults with disabilities, held at the Knoxville Emporium Center.There will be plenty of activities for individuals of all ages, including: arts and crafts, games, story time, door prizes and more!!  This is a FREE event!
